Motel Caldas SL

I stayed here for one night after walking 15 miles from Pontevedra on the Camino de Santiago Pros: -The women at the front desk was very kind and let me check in 3 hours early -The price is hard to beat as it was 35 euros for 1 night for a single standard room with king bed (the rooms are also very spacious) Cons: -You feel like you are entering and exiting a maximum security prison as you can only enter and exit the premise through a gate that has to be opened by talking to person at reception on an intercom -My room was in poor condition: there was a small hole in it, lots of hair in the bathroom, and the heating was not working (Thus, I was rather cold since it was 55 degrees F° outside). -The motel is about a 15 minute walk from the center of Caldas de Reis Overall, not a bad spot to stay while on the Camino as it is a very good price but many things need to be improved and the rooms desperately need a remodeling/renovation

I stay there on my Camino. The place is nice, it's around a 20 minute walk from the city ( Camino trail ).The service is amazing They are super nice and try to make you feel the best , they bring you food to your room and do the laundry for you The price is worth it :)

Absolutely horrible experience!!!! The motel has a brothel like feel to it. We didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there as there were two doors in the room. One is the entrance to the room and the other is a door that leads to a hallway behind the room. Whilst relaxing on the bed, someone opened the door leading to the hall, twice. The owner is arrogant and was unhelpful towards our concerns. Our room looked out onto a dumpsite, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the water not hot enough and the windows didn’t have proper curtains in front of it. Other guests also arrived at 5am, drunk, and the walls are so thin, that it sounded as if they entered our room. And for all this, they charged an astoundingly €90 per night.
