Black Bull

We had Sunday lunch here during our stay in Coniston. Firstly, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was fantastic, especially the pork loin which was moist and there plenty of it! The veg was equally as good and much getter then the usual pub veg. We had creamy mash, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese topped with crispy onions, parsnip, mashed carrot and swede, Brussels sprouts, peas and cabbage. All for £22 and delicious! Definitely recommended.

Went for the first time a couple of days ago after searching for a real ale pub gor my husband. He wasn't disappointed . He said the Beer was amazing and good choice. We had a meal and it was delicious. The fish is to die for. We went back yesterday and I had the same meal. Again fish was delicious. If I had to picky the chips were a bit hard yesterday but that wouldn't put me off going again. The staff are very friendly and the pub is lovely and cozy with a lovely log fire. Highly recommend

Came to this pub on the Cumbria way with the my fog Zeus and it was a really nice atmosphere so then we resisted it for my birthday as a couple which my girlfriend booked from the moment we entered they couldn't do enough the room was perfect and also the food and obviously the beer is the best I've tasted it dosent disappoint I've been to many pubs claiming to be good but the black bull is one of the very best. Every staff member couldn't do enough from getting dog treats for the dog to bringing a surprise lemon slice out for my birthday they went above and beyond and thanks to Paul the landlord for the free drink for my birthday much appreciated. Would highly recommend the people of this pub should be proud well done 👏
