Hotel Silberfelsen

Very nice hotel with just 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony or terrace, a free safe and a free Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi reception is good, but the uplink fails every now and then, but who cares: you're on vacation! The rooms do not have a mini bar, but there is a shared fridge on the groundfloor you can use. There are drinks, ice creams and chips for sale at normal prices. The rooms are cleaned daily and look shiny. The breakfast is perfect: lots of choice and all fresh! The staff is very friendly and make you really feel at home. If you stay for more than two nights you'll receive a Hochschwarzwald card that gives you free access to the swimming pool at the other side of the road. This card can be used for other sights in the surroundings as well. Really a must go if you plan to stay in the surroundings!

Spent nine relaxing days on bed & breakfast basis at Hotel Silberfelsen, Menzenschwand - Sant Blasien. The couple running the small hotel were most friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean, very quiet, comfortable pand offered an appetising breakfast. The hotel's location was excellent, just across the road, a two minute walk leads you to the SPA centre and bike rental shop. The hotel issues the 'Blackforest' card which entitles free entrance to the SPA/pool/jacuzzi and free afternoon bike rentals, nearby lake boat rides, cable car rides and practically all amusement entrances in the Blackforest region.

Amazing hosts! Very cosy and lovely views, fantastic breakfast! Could not fault it.
