Brücke 49

I stayed at Brücke 49 two/three years ago, accompanying a Scottish man with an excessive need to impress. In hindsight, the hotel suited the performance perfectly: impeccably curated, Nordic-inspired design, every corner styled as if for a Scandinavian interiors magazine. Visually, it is undeniably refined and aesthetically pleasing. However, design alone does not create hospitality. The breakfast was surprisingly insufficient, lacking both variety and generosity. The coffee was frankly dreadful, which is rather unforgivable at this level. There is also an underlying feeling that cost-cutting quietly overshadows the guest experience, which feels particularly discordant considering the presumed price point. For what one imagines the stay costs, one expects warmth, abundance and attention to detail beyond furniture choices. There are good ideas here, certainly. But good ideas in design are not enough to compensate for service that feels restrained and underwhelming. If one seeks inspiration, perhaps a beautifully curated design store would offer the same aesthetic satisfaction, without the disappointment. For clarity: this review reflects a genuine personal experience and does not violate any platform guidelines. Constructive criticism is part of maintaining standards in hospitality. If honest feedback cannot be received and used to improve, perhaps the industry itself is not the right fit. I enclosed some pictures, because the owner answered that my review is not authentic.

💜💜💜 This is the second time I’ve rented this apartment, and I absolutely love it! Everything is so beautiful, stylish, and perfectly Scandinavian with impeccable, thoughtful décor. The Vipp kitchen is a joy to use, and the Royal Copenhagen tableware adds an elegant touch to every meal. The apartment is spotlessly clean, and the beds are very comfortable with lovely bedding, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep. Every morning, fresh, homemade bread is delivered, such a wonderful touch that makes the stay even more special. The welcome is outstanding: Ruth is wonderful, warm, and friendly. I will definitely return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable, and enjoyable stay!

What a beautiful experience my spontaneous stay was @ lovely Bridge 49 B&B boutique hotel! Ruth Kramer - the charming and caretaking owner - has created a very authentic dream place where you feel in 7th heaven. The rooms are combining old wooden structures with puristic style, however not neglecting important details like high-quality bed linen or a special cushion for the dog. The breakfast - in the romantic riverside garden when sunny - is all carefully self-made and of exquisite bio quality. The offered ingwer shot at the end gives you a happy energy boost to conquer a fantastic mountain day. Moreover, Ruth also offers beautiful apartments for rent just next to the hotel.
