Hight Points: remoteness, quiet day and night, absence of tourists, split-level suite Cenco; pet friendly; great host communication before via WhatsApp with lots of info including upgrade Low Points: you MUST have a car, taxis charge 75 euros just for supermarket each way; bikes don't work if you purchase food; no milk for coffee and no tea so SHOP beforehand; no bathroom lighting--something faulty in the wiring meant at night sometimes the fuses blow; many, many lightbulbs need to be replaced; NOTHING in walking distance and this is NOT Alberobello or Martina Franca per se but in the middle and GORGEOUS; the property needs a bit of maintenance with updating lighting and cleaning outside furniture--just a handyman visit to fix the watering hoses and replace the dead flowers in pots Unique Points: trulli architetture; self check-in feature and keyless entry; lovely unheated pool; lovely glass floor of bedroom but can't see down because lights don't work; we had a private walled courtyard for morning yoga; lots of great outside furniture Room Tip: shop beforehand for supplies, have a car, go with friends, take a flashlight for power outages

Aminua is located in Valle d'Itria in the countryside between Alberobello (UNESCO Heritage for stone building named Trulli) and Martina Franca (world famous Valle d'Itria centre). Aminua meaning Almond in local dialet and was given to the place in honour of the almond trees all around.
