Glenmoriston Arms

We were underwhelmed by our stay given the hotel and restaurants glowing reviews. Our tavern room was perfectly fine and clean but had a view of the back of a dilapidated building and tanks. The food was fine but we were disappointed that the exact same menu (including the daily special) were served both nights of our stay. The place is fine. But certainly did not warrant a five star review based on our experience.

We had an amazing evening meal at the Glenmoriston Arms with a group of fourteen. Despite the short notice, the staff were incredibly accommodating. Everyone loved their meals, from the delicious fish and chips to the mouth-watering venison pie. The highlight of the evening was definitely the outstanding service, especially from Ailsa, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. We highly recommend The Glenmoriston Arms to anyone passing through.

We had breakfasts and dinners there and the restaurant was excellent. We stayed in the dependance. In the room on the far right, the bathroom had a stagnant water smell and the hot water didn’t work properly. In general, the rooms had a bit of a musty smell, but overall it was fine.
