Great location but they do not wash their sheets. I already requested a new bed as mine had hair on it and was not made. Then after I got a new room every bed was unmade, even when people had no booked a bed, proving to me that they were probaby not planning on washing the sheets. You can even see a bit of food leftover in my bed from the previous person. I talked to the staff and this was my "clean" room after i just had a bed that was not washed.

Meininger hotel rooms are very clean, but the dorm situation for hostels is not comfortable. In the layout of the room, two strangers had to sleep in a double bed with each other. Moreover, some semblance of privacy, for example curtains for the beds, was lacking. Additionally, I would have liked the opportunity to book an all female dorm, because I have had uncomfortable experiences in other hostels before. Further, the bathroom situation was not good. The room with a toilet lacked a sink, and if someone was in the shower, you could not wash your hands. Finally, the size of the lockers in the room barely fit a backpack, let alone a suitcase. This is unacceptable for a hostel because it offers no security in a room full of strangers. I would not stay at this location again.

I liked my stay. The hostel is clean, there was friendly staff, a kitchen (with very few space and supplies, for the amount of people!) and a nice storage room for snowboard stuff. But, the big Minus: Luckily I got a bunk bed, but just seeing how close two people, who don't know each other, have to sleep next to each other will make me not come back. Seriously you can NOT! do this to people. I think it's very sad because everything else was really nice. Thanks anyway!
