Berghotel Mummelsee

We spent two nights at this hotel with our seven-year-old daughter. The reception staff were polite and very helpful. Just keep in mind that rooms are not ready before 15:00, so plan your arrival accordingly. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room — it was larger and even nicer than in the photos, with a perfect view of the lake. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was exceptional for a three-star hotel in Germany. There was a wide variety of options, everything fresh and delicious. The same goes for the restaurant menu — during our two-and-a-half-day stay, we always dined at the hotel and never felt the need to go elsewhere. The restaurant also has a small play area for kids with toys and a smart screen, which is a thoughtful touch for families. The lake is stunning, especially when it snows, and the location is ideal for hiking. I highly recommend this hotel. And a little spoiler: when you check out, they give you a complimentary voucher for one of their special breads — a lovely way to end the stay.

been there on a sunday. tons of traffic, queues eveywhere, business must be good. so there really is no excuse that cleaning staff has to publicly beg for money. when there is a coin collection going on in front of the toilet, it must mean that the management is from a different century - or you are at a autobahn gas station. no autobahn anywhere close though. pay your staff better so that they dont have to rely on additional coin income.
