Fantastic campsite albeit very busy over the summer holidays. Toilets are super clean, wardens are very nice and helpful. There is a little shop next to reception, very convenient when you need something last minute. If not, the village is not far away, we were cycling to the village for any groceries we needed. There is a very short walk to the lake, where you can do all kinds of water sports if you have your own equipment. If not, head to the village, there is a water sports rental you can use. The walk alongside the lake is just gorgeous. Sunsets are a must. We cycled around the lake too, be mindful of the traffic on the western side, otherwise it’s rather quiet and not too difficult (be mindful it is hilly) Lovely fells to hike too! Overall we’re very happy and will definitely be back!

This Caravan Park is huge & spread across the forest, with a pathway leading down to Coniston Water. The park is very well maintained, especially considering the size of it, and that there's constant falling leaves. The people that run the site take pride in their work and are really polite and helpful, adding to the enjoyment of our stay. On the downside & and it's not a criticism, it's very unlikely you'll get a satellite dish to work in this park, due to the height of the trees. I really should have checked this prior to booking the site. Lanes to the park can be very narrow, so if you're travelling in an A Class Motorhome, you must pick your route to the park carefully. Pitches are a good distance apart, but you’ll definitely need levelling blocks as few of the pitches are level. Other guests staying at this site were nice and friendly and if it's the Lakes you're interested in, this is a good location. Please see my pictures. There's disabled facilities but access to the Lake is down a slate pathway and not really possible with a wheelchair and barely possible with standard mobility scooters. There's a pub nearby selling lovely food. Hope this helps 🙂👍
