The hotel is run by two brothers and they are very nice and accomodating. Half of the hotel is a new building, another half is a budget version, which I won't recommend unless you are student. It is well- located, neat, offers sufficient breakfast and dinner. Book directly to get better prices.

I strongly recommend paying a little more for a real hotel in Meiringen. This was a 5-day DISASTER. Zero Hygiene: Our room was never cleaned during our entire 5-day stay. I’ve attached a photo of our overflowing trash bin. For a 3-star rating, daily service is expected; here, it’s non-existent. The "Ski Room" Joke: The ski room is an unheated, messy storage room filled with old tires and tables. The owner lied and said the heating only turns on at night—it never did. Our gear stayed freezing and damp. The Food: We had Half-Pension, but there is no "choice." You get one spicy dish, and they don't ask about preferences. One night they even refused to serve us until our tour organizer intervened. Dinner was often just frozen chicken nuggets and a single scoop of tasteless ice cream. Misleading Branding: This is an "Islamic Hotel" (no alcohol served), which is fine, but the name "Rebstock" and the website descriptions do not mention this. It’s very misleading for guests expecting a traditional Swiss experience. Rude Management: When I insisted on a receipt for my tourist tax, the staff became incredibly hostile, eventually telling me "they shouldn't have let me in." Truly unprofessional. Save your money and stay somewhere else.
