TH La Thuile - Planibel Hotel

We had the most wonderful stay in Planibel Hotel & Residence during our trip to La Thuile. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The skiing in La Thuile was fantastic, with an impressive variety of slopes that suited our entire group perfectly — 16 of us in total, including 8 adults and 8 children, all with different levels of ability, which made the trip especially enjoyable. The location of Planibel Hotel truly couldn’t have been better. Being right next to the main gondola made getting onto the slopes and meeting the kids' ski instructors effortless each day — a huge advantage when managing a large group. Having a supermarket and excellent amenities just steps away was also incredibly convenient and added to the overall ease of our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great range and variety to suit all tastes. Our room was lovely and very accommodating, providing a comfortable and relaxing space after long days on the slopes. The pool was fantastic and a real highlight for both the adults and children, and the first-class spa facilities were perfect for relaxing and recharging. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our ski holiday and would happily return.

Stayed for a week half board in the Feb half term. Had a fantastic stay - location is ideal as it’s right next to the lifts, rooms were spacious and clean, hotel is modern and well kept, pool is great (albeit without free towels and requiring a swim cap) and the adult only spa is a major plus. Kids club was an added bonus and the band in the bar each night was also a pleasant surprise. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast and dinner was really varied and superb quality - drinks were reasonably priced. Really can’t fault this hotel - there were sixteen of us in total and it catered perfectly to our needs. We plan to go again and I would highly recommend it.

We stayed for a week on the 4th floor facing the ski lifts. Rooms are perfect, nice and comfortable. Food is really good, yes some of the dishes may not be perfect as they are catering for big groups. But overall it’s very good. Our room was above the bar and the band play until midnight. It was annoying to start with but we got used to it. I asked to move and to be fair the team were great, they offered an apartment as an alternative. Perfect location for going up the mountain just gets a bit busy in the mornings in the locker room. Pool and Spa are excellent, just remember to book early.
