Excellent albergue! Everything was spotless clean. You can get a bed with linen and a towel, and they offer a delicious home-prepared dinner. The breakfast selection is amazing — one of the best I’ve had on the Camino. But the true highlight is the hosts — incredibly friendly and genuinely hospitable. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re walking the Camino Primitivo!

First, the basics: the albergue is clean and spacious. It is arranged and painted to convey a warm, inviting feel. The beds are comfortable. The host and her volunteers are amazing—they made me feel like I was being hosted by good friends. The community dinner was a treat, and the host even ran a short icebreaker for us. The entire team radiated kindness. This albergue stands out—if you’re considering stopping in La Espina, check them out.

Albergue is ran by a very kind couple, who have renovated the place quite nicely. It was a very unique experience, great attention to detail when it comes to a basics for pilgrims (ear buds, toiletries in common shower, washing included, fresh bedding). Large living room with good number of games, cold drinks, welcome snacks, hammock and optional extras you can purchase on the spot for your journey. The unique part was an in-house meal with beer/wine, which was served at the same time for people who opt in for this option, I would suggest pay a bit extra for a nice and hot meal and get to know your fellow travelers.
