Notre Dame Du Verger

We had a great 2 night stay at this camping, the pool is nice but i think the beach nearby is even nicer. We stayed at a nice cool spot in the shadow. Walking distance to the beach is great but more then the 400m that is on the signs the bread available at the reception is very very nice. Tho the water coming out of the tap tastes like pool water and is not drinkable so we had to buy water at the store which is unfortunate especially with the heatwave. Overall was the experience very nice and we may even come back to this place.

Too pricey for the facilities. Good pool, but bar closed at 8. The private cabins with shower and loo were good, but only 4 and other than that 3 unisex toilets. The shower water was too hot! Some of the pitches are very shaded by late afternoon due to the enormous trees. Easy walk to beach.

Good point first: friendly reception. And then the rest: no privacy and very busy, queuing for toilet and shower, 1 electricity pole for 6 places (people left because their cable didn't reach far enough), reception closed in high season between 14.30 and 16.00, 4 sanitair units in a porter cabin (are they ever cleaned?) without a hook for clothes and no shower screen so everything gets soaked (can't adjust water temperature), near a busy road (which you can hear at night). Really don't understand the idea this is a "luxury" small camping. Wouldn't go back, not even if it was for free. Probably a number of these so called **** reviews are placed by the owner and friends or low season visitors.
