We went off season so the site was extremely peaceful. Facilities are basic with composting toilets, Gas powered showers, outdoor washing up sink, water & an ELSAN tank for cassette waste disposal. Other than that.... You're off grid. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks, sunsets & sunrises which were phenomenal. The rugged landscape is typical of the northwest cornish coast and the site is located right on the coastal path near the Pendeen lighthouse (foggy nights might be a bit noisy). We really enjoyed this site.

Great little site right on the edge of the cliff. The guy who runs it is super quirky but extremely helpful and accommodating of the kids etc. the showers are basic basic (see photo) and there’s only one sink for washing up and no hot water but it’s all part of the charm. The light house at night is lovely. We had one super sunny beautiful day and one day where the mist and rain came in. Both days were great and had its own unique charm. The fog horn was going off all day which gave the whole place an ethereal vibe. You’re allowed fires at night and they sell fire wood.

Everything I was hoping for and more. The small campsite is located in a truly stunning area with far reaching sea views, countryside and old tin mine buildings to sit and admire from your pitch. It's on the coastal path do plenty of walks straight from the site, to amazing isolated beaches or along the cliff tops to Cape Cornwall via the tin mining heritage. It was quiet when I was there, very windy but dry so great walking weather. The composting toilets are fine and the showers do the job, very basic but as expected and better than but having any facilities. 4 great relaxing nights and I'll be back.
