Wow! We visit different places at weekends in our T4’s This is by far the best so far, Location, Views & walks, Toilet & showers need a bit of attention but that’s not an issue. 10/10. If you can’t get to the Island pub then walk to the next village to the Park Deane pub , Or sit outside your van or tent under the stars with a beer 🍺😀 definitely be back again.

Huge campground in Bigbury-on-the-sea. As we could see, it is very known and popular, But the space is not hikers friendly. Most of the space is uneven and has no facilities like picnic table, a covered space where we could shelter or cook in case of rain, a little shop with basic stuff, a place where we could charge our phones. All of these is essential for those hiking the path. The toilets and the showers were not that clean. The only thing that deserves a good evaluation is the food truck of pizza in the late afternoon and another one for breakfast.

Stayed here for two nights a week ago. First night was good because the campsite was not fully booked. Second night we wished we had stayed elsewhere. Yes. The views are second to none and the coffee and pizza places are great. But this is nearly where it ends. 4 showers, 8 toilets and about 8 wash basins in the female facility block is not really enough for a site that has about 100 pitches. Having basic facilities is one thing but not having by far enough for the size of the site is another.... Hands off approach by the owners is nice but only until you have 3 tents in the pitch next to you... and no chance of getting any peace. It probably would be better if there was a dedicated field as an adult only and quiet zone. I guess that this is a very nice site outside of the school holidays, but at the height of season we would never, ever return.
