Pensiunea Oppidum

We didn’t stay in Oppidium but in Casa Eva Wagner, own by the same host. I can only imagine the rooms were just as nice. We ate in Oppidium or rather in Taverna Antica which is the restaurant at the ground floor of the building. The food was very nice and the service was great. Very friendly and hospitable owners! It’s a shame the Taverna Antică google page says it’s closed. It’s not!

The review is for the lunch, because we did not stay in the pension. We had a deliciously prepared traditional meal, the bread was freshly baked, the dessert was the best we had. You can see from the garden the vegetables that went into our dishes, too!

Unfortunately an unpleasant experience with a host who does not deserve to do tourism in such a place full of history. A cozy place but devoid of any kind of utility. The grill looked execrable and we couldn't fogue it. We didn't even find a tray to do even something in the oven. We also had problems with the heat. I do not recommend this place.
