Agriturismo la Tana

The location is deep in the countryside, a bit far from town, but it's stunning and quiet. The owner, Gianni, and his family, are exquisite, as are their many pets. And the apartment and facilities are excellent. Absolutely great stay!!

We stayed at this splendid property yesterday, along our pilgrimage to St. Francis. A farmhouse 8 km from Città di Castello, the photos are accurate; in fact, the guest apartment is new and very comfortable. It's a charming place, albeit a bit out of the way, but perhaps that's a great way to find peace with yourself and nature. Nearby, a couple of kilometers away, is the "Il Sasso" restaurant, with a bar opposite, and the opportunity to swim in the waterfalls and pools of a stream. Competitively priced, recommended if you want some peace and quiet.

This is our second stay in La Tana for my wife and me. We are delighted once again. Admittedly, the location is a little removed from Città di Castello, but the welcome is warm. Giani and his wife are charming and welcoming. The accommodation is well-equipped and clean, separate from the main farmhouse. Coffee, biscuits, orange juice… and a local pastry (crostata) await you upon arrival. You are welcomed like family by the cats and dogs (who know how to be discreet). What more can I say? Don't hesitate!
