A trendy modern-baroque boutique hotel in a historic building in the charming old town of Innsbruck. The reception and popular cocktail bar are on the top (6.) floor where a nice breakfast is served, too. The young motivated staff make you feel welcome and serve a welcome drink of your choice upon arrival. The large room #301 we had was very spacious (but not sure if all "large rooms" are as large as ours which was paraplegic friendly?). Funky furniture and pictures on the walls and very well insulated windows kept it quiet despite being on the main road. You can see that the owners didn't shy away from costs to reinvent and turn the old hotel into a little gem! Highly recommended

I stayed at Altstadthotel Weisses Kreuz for three nights, and the experience was absolutely wonderful—so good that I would happily book it again without hesitation. The location is simply unbeatable, right in the heart of the old town. Whether you want to explore the city on foot, use public transportation, or quickly return to the hotel for a break, everything is incredibly convenient. The staff were warm, gentle, and extremely polite throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, we truly felt well taken care of. The room itself was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed, making it a very comfortable place to relax after a day of sightseeing. As a lovely surprise—perhaps because we stayed for three nights—we received a complimentary city Welcome Card, which gave us additional discounts and benefits while exploring Innsbruck. It was a fantastic bonus and added even more value to our stay. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great variety of fresh options, and even the scrambled eggs were made to order. Enjoying breakfast there each morning genuinely felt like being in heaven. If I ever return to Innsbruck, this hotel will be my one and only choice. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect location, excellent service, and a high-quality stay.

Honestly one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in anywhere in the world. The staff were by far, the nicest I've experienced anywhere. They met us on the bottom floor with our luggage and took us up in the lift to check in on the top floor. We were welcomed with a choice of drinks and some time to relax after our journey. They were warm, friendly and not overbearing at all. They all genuinely appeared to be enjoying their job. The room was lovely, a few signs of wear and tear but overall a lovely place to be. I'd probably recommend a room not facing the street if you can. Whilst it was generally quiet, through the night we did hear street cleaners and people enjoying the city so something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Innsbruck isn't a particularly rowdy city after dark but due to the location of the hotel, sound does bounce up. The shower cubicle is also in the room itself rather than a separate bathroom so if you're sharing with someone you're not close to then something to consider as well! There was a good selection of food at breakfast, in particular a great choice of options for Vegans/Vegetarians. A small selection of cooked eggs/meat was available on request. We can't wait to stay at the hotel again next year, it's in a perfect location and we got a great deal on the price of the stay as well.
