Castello di Montauto Soc. Semplice Soc. Agricola

Pros: the scenery and location is beautiful. The view from the pool over the valley is one you won’t forget. The apartment was clean and we loved the cats Lupo and Gastone. Cons: Unfortunately, your overall experience will largely depend on the courteousness of the other guests as you can hear your apartment neighbours talking late at night or even when they start the coffee machine at 5am. Sadly most people don’t understand that when you are sharing a farmhouse you have to be considerate towards the other guests (interestingly we were the youngest people staying here and yet were the most polite and courteous by far!) - if you wanted your own place to yourselves you should have booked it! There should be a rule about noise after 11pm - not all guests want to stay up listening to other guests party until late or alternatively get up at 5am for sunrise!! There was also roadworks going on right outside the apartment which disturbed our time in the pool in the afternoons. I appreciate there was nothing Corinna could have done but still wasn’t great considering what we paid to get away from the noise of our day to day lives. The pool was also cold for mid September which I’d expect to be slightly warmer - we were the only ones in it all week! Overall we had a good stay but noisy guests really has the potential to ruin your experience.

We stayed here for 7 nights! Where should I start from: the views during the day and night, overlooking San Giminiano; the large spotlessly clean Appartments with their stylish design; the facilities; our host Corina! If there is one place I would definitely come back to it would be this! Definitely value for money in an ideal setting! Thank you for hosting us!

A fantastic place to stay, warm and inviting. Great space, view and plenty of room. Highly recommended.
