Pier House Hotel, Charlestown

Visited the Pier House several times during our stay in Charlestown. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and returned a couple times for dinner. The staff were always very friendly and ready to chat. The food was reasonably priced and of excellent quality. The wine list was quite good and the three cask ales, all from St. Austell were well kept. The keg offering was a little unambitious considering the wonderful micro breweries that dot Cornwall. Overall this is a great pub with an excellent location. A beer overlooking the harbour and out to sea takes some beating.

We so enjoyed our trip here. Its such a dog friendly great place to stay. The room was so nicely decorated. The staff were soo lovely and welcoming and treated our dog like he was a king (which he is 😆) The food at dinner and breakfast was really good. We would definitley like to return and also recommend. It was really quite busy for January and clearly popular but the staff all seemed happy, not overwhelmed and the service was very efficient. Cheers all at The Pier house 🌟

We have just stayed at h the Pier House for our anniversary. Our premier sea view room was amazing. Great views, really comfy bed with nice linen, super big shower with great pressure and plenty of hot water, lots of little touches in the room make it extra special - automatic lights in the bathroom, nice selection of toiletries, dry robes you can borrow for the beach, nespresso machine, iron and board, good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits, a mini bar, touch control heating/air con, huge fluffy towels and dressing gowns. The breakfasts had a good selection and were generous portions. We also had lunch one day and the Sunday roast in the evening, which was huge! And very welcome after the 10 mile hike we had done. All the staff were amazing. Really could not fault a thing, and we are fussy! We will be back soon!
