Pino Alpino // Hotel & Restaurant & Wine Bar

Enjoyed two excellent meals at Pino Alpino. The chef is a wild genius, the wine selection and the sommeliers’ knowledge is excellent (all fantastic artesian Slovenian wines), the ambience is charming, the service is en point and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of dining experience. Such a refreshing change from the stogy, bulky food we found elsewhere - and delicious veggie and vegan dishes! I highly recommend this place!

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had in my life! The food was amazing and so unique. Both my partner and I really enjoyed the food, and our waiter was very friendly. Great selection of Slovenian wines; I would recommend choosing the tasting menu with wine pairing. They also had the cake version of Croatian Bajadera, which was a huge plus!

We had dinner here and it was fabulous from start to finish. Really high quality dishes but no stuffiness at all from the super friendly waiters. Sometimes in places where there is an emphasis on quality and presentation, I end up leaving a bit hungry, but not so here. The aubergine in panko breadcrumbs was exceptionally good. The offer of extra (deliciously soft) focaccia to mop up the sauce from my starter was much appreciated. We needed a reservation to eat here and I can see why it is so popular.
