Hotel Familiengut Burgstaller

We had amazing family vacation at Familiengut Burgstaller, the room was big and cozy with balcony and bathroom,everything was clean and tidy,spa area was great for our kid and us adults. Food was excellent and diverse,we really enjoyed every meal. And the best part of our stay was kind and helpful staff,from restaurant,reception,room service to the bar, everybody are really friendly and smiling. Hotel is at great location for ski trip, 15 minutes to Bad Kleinkircheim and 30 minutes to Gerlitzen Alpe or Turracher hohe. We would definetly reccomend this place to families with children,and we would definetly come back one day. :)

The room was tidy but somewhat outdated. The hair dryer casing was damaged, and there was no basic refrigerator in the room. Drinking water was only provided on the first day, and for the following days, not even drinking glasses were replaced. The outdoor play area for children was spacious, but the indoor facilities and entertainment options were limited and quite boring. Breakfast was almost the same every day with little variety. Dinner, however, was very good and well-prepared, though the meal options for children were extremely limited. Although the rate included breakfast and dinner, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee and juice were only available during breakfast; at dinner, you had to pay extra for them. It was stated that children could enjoy free drinks all day, but in reality, only one flavor of juice and iced tea were available. The restaurant staff’s service could also be improved. For several consecutive days during breakfast, we did not receive the daily activity schedule or dinner menu. The childcare program was dull and failed to capture the children’s interest. Considering the price for half-board accommodation, compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at, this one is not recommended—especially since the selection of soft drinks for both adults and children was disappointingly stingy.

Surprised about the new rooms, new sauna and the food varieties. Amazing 👏. Also the hospitality is 5 stars. Really something we look forward to come again.
