Penzion Horní Blatná

We stayed in the family room in the attic. It was very nicely furnished, very clean, and the small kitchenette had everything we needed. Breakfast was very good, and they even thought of our dog, finding a plate of lovingly arranged treats. The location is very quiet and a great starting point for many hikes and excursions. Just keep in mind that the attic apartment is essentially on the top floor. It consists entirely of sloping ceilings, so anyone taller than 1.80 meters (5'11") shouldn't stay there. The stairs are incredibly steep, and the steps are narrow. Both two-legged and four-legged guests who have difficulty walking should book one of the rooms on the lower floors.

Absolutely perfect. We came to the guesthouse for the weekend as a group of 8 people, for whom I sometimes organize trips to interesting places. We were accommodated in double rooms and an apartment with its own kitchenette (fully equipped) and balcony. The apartment is in the attic, so it has sloping walls, but my husband and I admired the maximum use of space. All rooms and the apartment are new, nicely equipped. For rooms without a kitchen, there is a large kitchen on the ground floor. I also ordered breakfast for us and it was truly wonderful. The dedication of the owners and the service are truly above standard and since my husband and I travel abroad quite a lot, I believe that we have something to compare it to. We did not use the wellness or wine shop, but I believe that it is also perfectly equipped. I deliberately chose accommodation in Horní Blatná as a perfect starting point for trips and I definitely did not regret it.

Lovely guesthouse in a great location. It's a shame that communication with the owner was so poor. We only saw her at departure. There was no prior information about arrival, breakfast times, use of the facilities/wellness area, or departure. Shortly before 10:00, we were informed that we had to be out by 10:00, even though a major booking portal stated 11:00. We had to pack in a rush... Not a pleasant end to our stay.
