We had a gorgeous stay at High Force Hotel to celebrate a big birthday, warm welcome on a very cold night. The room was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean, the bed was so comfortable, lovely pillows and bedding. Dinner and breakfast served in the dining room were really good, love locally sourced ethos, exceptional friendly service, we loved sitting on the sofa by the open fire, thank you so much for birthday drinks! Bella our dog was made very welcome. We walked down to High Force next day, as stunning as I remembered! Then called in at Raby Castle on the way home, enjoyed the gardens, deer park and the castle is beautiful (the complimentary tickets saved us £48) had late lunch at The vinery cafe before setting off home. Very special 24hrs thank you so much.

Just returned from a one night dinner BB stay at this wonderful hotel. From arrival we were treat like friends. We were shown to our room which was beautiful and cosy and offered fresh mild for a tea or coffee . We were made aware of some work going on at the other end of the hotel but never heard a thing. Bar was lovely and relaxed with the fires blazing. Dinner was perfect so compliments to the chefs and team. Breakfast this morning outstanding and very filling. This hotel is an absolute gem and the staff are a credit to it all. In particular thanks George for offering a coat for the winter walk to high force this morning and just being so genuinely nice throughout our stay. It’s perfection and we will be returning soon

First time here, had a Great sunday lunch! Food was really good, great portion sizes & service was good. Very welcoming staff. Lovely country decor and a great vibe throughout. With it being a Sunday they only had the roast dinner menu, was disappointed that they didnt have a childrens menu on offer, on this alone we wont visit again as a family on a Sunday as we have a fussy eater who needs childrens options. Car park is also pay to park! Definitely should be free for paying customers!!
