La Barre, 35350 Saint-Coulomb, FranceB
Authentic farm camping, no frills, far from the tourist crowds. The owners are welcoming and kind. While the facilities are rustic, this contributes to the family atmosphere of the place. You almost want to keep it a secret, preserving its tranquility. It's a 10-15 minute bike ride from the coast, near the Baie des Chevrets and the Pointe de Meiga (certainly the most magical spot between Cancale and Saint-Malo). Thank you, Odile, for your hospitality. Benjamin, the cycling nurse ;)

Regarding our stay at the La Barre farm campsite, what can I say? We booked for four nights, but only stayed one. The campsite was overcrowded, with pitches crammed together, some even right next to the road! The sanitary facilities were inadequate for the number of pitches allowed. There were at least a hundred campers crammed into two showers, two sinks for washing dishes, and two toilets... all without the slightest privacy. And of course, to shower, you had to queue for cold water. I don't know if farm campsites are subject to any regulations, but this is unacceptable. It's just a case of filling up the pitches.

Quietly located campsite, with little shade, clean toilets, and outdated but functional equipment. €14 for a CC, 1 person + electricity. Same rate for two people.
