The staff was fantastic as they had a taxi waiting for us at the train station (at our request) when we arrived and stayed late to check us in. Breakfast is included which we haven’t encountered anywhere else in our travels in Italy. The location is excellent as it’s in the center is Assisi and within walking distance of everything. We highly recommend Hotel Pax when visiting Assisi.

Lovely little gem in a superb locaion right bang in Assisi's old city, run by a very classy family (albeit I had an unnecessary tiff with the youngster at reception - which he handled very well - and for which I am sorry). The room was clean and good looking. We got one that overlooked the old city and were delighted at being able to observe it from the room. We were a bit apprehensive about noise from passers by but no, it was very quiet. It was quite far from the lift in contrast to our being promised that we would be by the lift. The bathroom was at one end via a pretty long corridor with some 3-4 high steps to access it, which younger people would probably find enchanting. Older people, especially those that have been travelling for a while and so are tired out already (like ourselves) should take all this into account. If this is your only stop, no problem. Breakfast, down in the basement with a casement door leading to it which was very cute and European, was the usual Italian fare but certainly adequate. I think it was pretty good value for money. All this info is for the sake of honesty. We were extremely pleased with this choice of accommodation and definitely recommend it.

It is a great place to spend time in Assisi. The hotel is centrally located, only steps away from Chiesa Nuova and the Piazza della Commune. There is an elevator serving two of the three floors with guest rooms. The breakfast buffet, served in the basement of the historical building, is very good and features all kinds of continental and specifically Italian breakfast items. Staff is super friendly and helpful in every respect. There is also a restaurant around the corner, Ristorante Medioevo, which belongs to the hotel and is highly recommended; great tasting food and good service.
