Pilgrim Statue – “Camiño e destino” Monument, Padrón, Galicia 🇪🇸 This striking statue of a lone pilgrim is part of the “Camiño e destino” monument, honoring the timeless journey along the legendary Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). Sculpted by Camilo Seira and inaugurated in 1999, the monument beautifully captures the spirit of determination, faith, and reflection that defines every pilgrim’s path. Located in historic Padrón — the final stop in Galicia on the Portuguese Way — this tribute welcomes thousands of walkers from around the world each year as they make their way toward Santiago de Compostela. Many pilgrims pause here to rest, reflect, and celebrate how far they’ve come. ✨ A powerful reminder that the Camino is not just about reaching the destination, but about the journey, the people you meet, and the stories you carry along the way.

A nice relaxed town, not too far from Santiago. You can have a good walk, enjoy coffee with pastries or enjoy one of the lovely reataurants in town
