South View Guest House

Our group of five stayed in three rooms at Southview Guesthouse in Lynton, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and genuinely friendly, making us feel at home right away. Our rooms were perfect, with separate beds that worked out really well for all of us. Breakfast was a real highlight—especially the famous fruit salad! I had spent a long time trying to find the right place to stay in the area, and I’m so glad we found Southview. It really made our visit special, and we’ll definitely be coming back when we are in the area.

From the moment we checked in the service was superb, our room & decor was absolutely beautiful. Our hosts Penny & Drew are lovely people, nothing was a bother to them. Breakfast was delicious. We can highly recommend this BnB.

Stayed here with my 12 year old daughter in "summer breeze" room,front of the guest house above the dining room,it had a seperate single bed in its own room which was ideal for us, I Checked many reviews before booking and I have to agree with everyone Penny and Drew are lovely people. Helpful ,full of ideas, suggestions and places to go for food etc. They'll even let you take a local curry back to eat in the dining room(the spicy mare, amazing too) room was fab,clean,plenty of hot water and a pretty good view too. Location is super about 50 steps from the funicular railway entrance and close to several restaurants..a cost cutter store is also close for water and there's a cash machine a bit further down the road. Only negative I have is the car park can be somewhat tricky to get in and out of as it's steep and you can't see over the crest of the hill to get down to it. Apart from that I wouldn't hesitate to stay again oh and the breakfast is wonderful,hot and fresh my daughter was gutted on our last morning,"no more breakfasts"she said with a sad face 😅 don't look anywhere else just book it!!
