Gasthof Uttewalde Restaurant und Pension

The owner speaks both English and German, and is very kind and happy to give directions towards destinations of interest, of which there are many not too far away. The food is great, and the location is just as good. The hotel focuses on the basics and excels at them; comfy beds, nice views, good food, good service. The wifi is not the strongest, but it is enough to keep up with social media or brag about your travels online.

Super cute place in the forest off the "Mahlers Weg". The owners and operators are a husband/wife pair that clearly loves what they do. The hospitality was fantastic, and the food was an amazing surprise treat. Creative international dishes alongside a few German classics, executed at a top notch level. Can't recommend enough.

Recently reopened with new owners. A very nice, young couple that works hard to make sure you enjoy your time there. My girlfriend had the best spare-ribs we ever had. Their english was fluent as our german wasn't on point. I definitely recommend this place!!
