Albergue Casa Rectoral de Pria

We stayed there one night. This place is perfect for pilgrims, price is 15€ and with the money they are going to constantly renovate the place. You can use the full kitchen to cook , there are showers, some machines to buy some food, and they also sell pasta, tomate and tuna for 4,5€ to cook. The building was first built in 1646 and it gives a nice feeling for the pilgrims. Manuel( who is a fully volunteer )was friendly, we chatted with him in spanish and was in my opinion one of the nicest host we met during the camino. Perfect albergue !!! Beautiful , peaceful location . Great host , so helpful and lovely. Comfy beds and good facilities. Well equipped kitchen where we were able to cook a meal. Next to a beautiful church , we were blessed to be able to go inside and met some friendly ladies who were filling the church with flowers. Enjoyed sitting outside in the evening . Highly recommend !!

An albergue managed by an old man who probably did this for a long time and is obviously passionate about it. Too bad his two assistant were absolutely aweful. One was laying in the living room scrolling on tik tok for most of our time there (while the place clearly needed to be cleaned). The other one was having a lot of fun acting though, and even bullied a lost pilgrim arrived late for checking. His body language was one of someone ready to beat up… a woman having an anxiety attack. What a brave little guy ! Both of them didn’t bother helping their boss cleaning the shower, I guess acting like you’re a though guy and scroll TikTok is really energy demanding ! Overall cheap place to stay at, an absolutely stunning view but the owner should be more careful with who is helping him. What we saw that night was at the opposite of what the Camino is about.
