Ceresole Sport village (La Casa del Re)

Nice and cosey

It's currently listed twice on Maps, under two different names. Perhaps the wrong dates were used, but I found it mostly confusing; not in terms of noise, no, but in terms of management! It's already hard to tell what the name is: Grand Hotel Ceresole, La Casa del Re, or Ceresole Sport Village? Payment goes to Mascaraldi Group SRLS of Turin. Oh well! There's no one at reception; you always have to go looking for someone. The room is quite small, hard to move around (it's fine for one night, but with the extra cot, you can't fully open the wardrobe...), but at least it's been tastefully and stylishly renovated. There are no curtains on the windows, just external shutters. The TV, though small, is propped up on the desk and is uncomfortable to watch. Oh well! Not used, for one night. But there are no towels, so he goes back downstairs, looks for someone, and then the towels arrive (not towels, but oh well!). We only stayed one night, but there was a notice in the room saying the room is cleaned every two days! :-O Breakfast is from 8 to 10, but we arrive well before time. The small buffet was practically empty, so wait for them to restock. The breakfast was sad: three croissants, a few slices of bread, commercial jams, a plain yogurt (for those who want something savory at breakfast, there's some cheese and cold cuts), but at least fresh fruit. We couldn't try the spa (they said it was full...). We chose not to try dinner; we dined out. All for €140 per night in September, including breakfast (double room with extra bed). The late check-out option is a plus (we left early, but it's still convenient). The (few) staff are courteous. Beautiful property, renovated in a stylish way. A few details could be improved, but the management is too chaotic!

Definitely a point of reference for the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very elegant, well-maintained, and clean rooms. Strong WiFi, even in the guest rooms, is fast. The restaurant is top-notch, serving typical local dishes and generous portions. There's nothing to complain about in the service we received.
