Gasthaus Rathaus

My wife and I spent two nights at this wonderful Swiss hotel. Melanie and Norman made us feel straight away welcome and at home. Breakfast and evening meals were perfect. The Hotel itself is authentic and full of interesting history. Our room was large and cosy and ideal to relax. The surroundings are breathtaking. We definitely plan to visit again

I visited last week, and it was an amazing experience! As a former New Yorker, I'm quite picky, but this place was beyond good. It's truly beautiful and unique. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are sparkling clean – literally everywhere you look! The food, prepared with fresh ingredients, is absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed hiking in the area; there are many options around the guesthouse, and the nature is breathtaking. We saw fields of beautiful, colorful flowers, some I'd never even seen before! Even though my German isn't great yet, the hosts speak excellent English and French. This is a truly romantic spot, but it's also perfect for families, singles, or groups of friends. I would definitely go back as soon as I can!

A terrific restaurant and hotel. The rooms have been recently renovated, are extremely spacious and have all the amenities you’d expect. Bathrooms are shared but extremely modern and still have a “private” feel. The quality of service and food / drink is outstanding. I was in Switzerland for over a week, stayed in multiple hotels and this was easily the best. A terrific pick all round.
