Royal Plaza Montreux SA

Great hotel and spa, located right on the lake side. Despite being an older hotel, I liked the architecture and overall decor, which didnt felt dated to me, everything was well kept. They upgraded my family to a junior suite with a huge balcony overlooking the lake, that was pretty cool. Suite also had a large bed and big sofa bed, nespresso machine, minifridge. Bathroom was pretty big as well, with a nice bathtube for the kids. Kids loved the large pool and jacuzzi. The spa area had a wet sauna and gym too. Also if you are traveling with kids, they have a bunch of board games at the lobby, and there was a playground in a park right next to the hotel. Easy access to the promenade where you could take a walk around the lake. Bus stop right in front of it, plenty of buses to take you around the city. Also withing walking distance, a migros. Overall, cant complain, really liked this hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed here in March 2026 for four days and had a lakeside room on the seventh floor. What an amazing view of the lake and the mountains which looked beautiful still covered in snow at the top. It was an amazing experience to wake up and see this magnificent view and just made you feel lucky to be there. The American breakfast is extra but delicious. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly with special thanks to Nicolas who regularly helped us out. Montreux is a beautiful place with a lovely promenade.

I had a wonderful stay at Royal Plaza Montreux. The location is absolutely perfect—right on the lake with breathtaking views that make every moment unforgettable. The staff were warm, helpful, and always attentive, which made the experience even better. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony overlooking Lake Geneva. The hotel’s atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, and it’s only a short, scenic walk to Montreux’s main attractions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and stunning views. I would definitely stay here again!
