Acorns Guest House Dog Friendly

A really lovely guesthouse, perfect for my weekend stay for a wedding. Steve and Denise make the stay so welcoming and comfortable. The room had everything you need and was very clean. A very tasty breakfast cooked by Steve with Denise making sure you had enough food to set you up for the day ahead. I would recommend this guesthouse and is very good value for money.

Steve & Denise, who own this establishment, are very friendly & helpful people. The breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice. The B&B is situated in a convenient area, but the entrance for parking around the back of the building is difficult to spot and very steep with pot holes at the entrance. I understand they are making plans to get it sorted. The room was adequate with facilities for tea and coffee making. There's not much hanging space if there's more than one of you, though. There was a small on-suite bathroom with a shower in room 3. The room was clean and tidy. There are two pubs within walking distance that do evening meals and plenty of coffee shops. The Pack-o-Cards does excellent meals. All in all we had a good week at the Acorns.

I booked a one night stay at short notice for myself, my husband and our labrador. Denise was very welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect for our needs with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom all beautifully clean. The cooked breakfast was excellent with proper sausages & nice thick bacon, a good choice of cereals, yoghurt, juice and toast. Its a shame we could only stay for one night!
