Ostello Della Cisa

We had a very mixed experience at the Ostello. We were walking the Via Francigena and this is the only accommodation at the end of a long hard days walk. Fedora is an amazing host and did wonderful job keeping us fed and with drinks single handedly. So thank you to her. But the building offers very meagre hospitality. It is freezing cold and they need to provide some better space heating in the communal areas and in the bedrooms. There is nowhere to get any food the following day, so I wish they would offer a picnic lunch, or at least a hearty breakfast. Top tip bring warm clothing for indoors and plenty of food!

Without the Ostello the Via Francigena cannot exist, so we are very grateful that it is up and running. Fedora does an amazing job, we just wish she gets somebody to help her all the time. The Ostello is a pilgrim place, not a hotel, and as such it is doing very well.

The girl was anxious about our arrival time calling us because of a bad weather and we’re completely wet and exhausted. Once we got there, we had amazing Hot shower to warm our cold bodies. Thank you to open for us via francigena
