The best campsite! My home away from home, we have been coming to Magor farm every year for over 20 years. The site itself is very simple but so relaxing. There is no clubhouse or entertainment but very clean facilities including toilets, showers and dish washing areas. Plenty of space for you to pitch up with no space restrictions. We usually go with a few families so is perfect as we can all pitch up together and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. This site is family run, Jackie and Redfers are the perfect hosts. Very chatty and friendly and always welcoming! They feel like part of the extended family and always welcome us back. Magor is so quiet and relaxing, perfect for some time away from chaotic life. A must stay!

I do not recommend this site. I've been to tonnes of campsites and I work at one - this place is grim. When I booked, I was told the pitch number to go on, but after that they didn't send any other comms or welcome instructions. So when I arrived, I found that there was no sign for the pitch they'd told me. I tried phoning the warden several times but no answer, so I went on another empty pitch and sent the warden an email to explain. A little while later they came speeding along in their car, ran over my electric cable and parked right up against my campervan door. Very confrontational and unfriendly. I pointed out that she'd driven over my cable and she just replied with "I'm the site warden" as if that made it okay... She then reversed back over it, got out of her car, picked up my cables and through them back in a tangled mess. I was originally planning to stay for 2 nights but reduced it down to 1, as not only was the customer service awful, unfriendly and unwelcoming, the grass is unkempt and the facilities were grim and very cold! I was going to say, the only positive was that it was cheap at £15pn with EHU. But, the alternative campsite I found for my second night was only £5 more and a million times nicer! So I would recommend you find elsewhere and don't stay here! There are plenty of better options in the area.

Lovely quiets dog friendly little campsite set in a valley and protected by trees. We chose this site as the weather wasn't looking too great and we opted for the protection of a valley site. July 2023. SITE: Very flat in the bottom of a valley. There is no sea view but it is very protected from winds and most bad weather. Ample field space with a pitch where you like approach. Hook ups are limited so pre booking is essential for electric. Due to the location it is very dark at night with no artificial lighting on, (even the toilet lights are switched off - so take a torch for late night toilet visits). Great stars at night though because of this. There is no WiFi or phone signal on site, but just predownload films/ shows to your devices. There'd no reception; the owners are lovely and are up most mornings and evenings to collect fees directly from you. If quiet just pitch up and they'll come find you. This is a non frills, non commercialised site. FACILITIES: These do need updating, but they are very clean and do the job without the fuss. The showers are clean, but bring some flip flops as the floor is just concrete. However they are FREE, with great water pressure and very hot! (I was the only one using them at the time). Plenty of toilets. Small play equipment on site with plenty of space for ball games etc. Washing up area and freezer for ice packs. LOCATION: Perfect location for access to everything! You can walk to the cliffs near to Hells Mouth, and possibly take a long hike to town. Camborne/Redruth are within a 10minute drive for multiple supermarkets and takeaways. There is a wooded walk/cycle which starts right alongside the site which goes on for a bit. Great for dog walking and biking. Hayle and St. Ives are within 20 to 30min drive along the coastal road and its only about 15 minutes off the A30. The area is stunning which beautiful beaches and stunning coastline! I recommend this site if you just want a site without the fuss. I would revisit again.
