Pensión Argüelles

It's a 1* pension hotel, don't expect usual hotel standards - it's cheap and cheerful. It's a tiny place and very simple and a bit run down but perfectly clean and comfortable. I think the bad reviews are from people expecting much higher standards. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in a great location this is perfect - if you're after a fancy hotel experience then go elsewhere

The room is fine. Wifi didn't work on the second floor though. I had to work at the lobby. They could really use some mesh wifi routers to extend the range of wifi coverage.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this hotel really earned it. I got a room with a malfunctioned over head light. The owner/manager actually stepped on the bed (yes, the same bed i was supposed to sleep in) with his bare feet in front of me to change the light bulb. Didnt offered a different room, where (hopefully) nobody stomped on the bed, until I insisted. The other room was on the 2nd floor, where there's no wifi. Yes, they have wifi only on the 1st floor. He didn't thought of mentioning that, obviously. It's just mind boggling that they're so cheap to cut costs by not getting a 2nd router to cover the entire hotel. Stay away.
