Hostel Mama Minka

Our favourite hostel in Europe! The most wonderful and welcoming staff, spotlessly clean hostel, and cosily decorated common spaces. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. And the showers had excellent pressure!! Location was perfect for exploring the area, and parking was very easy. Great value for money and dog friendly 😊 Thank you again to the team at Mama Minkas, we hope to return soon!!

I love this place!!! Such a welcoming and warm place. It felt like a home! Well, it used to her grandma's home... Definitely not a "traditional hostel". It has a small capacity ; there are a couple of dorms and a couple of (double) rooms. Katja, the owner, is very friendly and gave me great recommendations for dining and sight-seeing. It's also a pet-friendly place. A couple of nights some guestrs had their dogs and Katja left dog treats for them on the breakfast table! Such a lovely gesture! Breakfast had several options. Fresh bread every morning! Katja also makes her own yogurt, which she serves for breakfast. They provide free towels (that's extra points for a hostel) and there are even shampoos and shower gels for guests. Very clean place, too!
