Cașva Guesthouse

We had a wonderful one night stopover here while hiking the Via Transilvanica (*Note: it’s located about 2 km from the route but it’s very much worth the detour - and if you’re tired we’re certain the hosts would come pick you up if you ask). The outdoor space is charming and the food is fresh and delicious. The bed was cozy and the reception from our host Bianca was warm and welcoming. She speaks excellent English so we were able to enjoy some very informative chats while we ate her delicious food. There is an added bonus if you’re a pet lover. The two dogs and three cats were happy to accept human affection. Toby, a ginger kitten and the most recent addition to the pet family, was constantly romping about and getting into mischief. So fun! Wonderful host; delicious food; comfortable bed and quiet surroundings - all at a very fair price. What more can you ask? Highly recommended.

If you call a friend asking for a sofa to crash on, this is what you are looking for. A bed for two people and a sofa for another two if needed, in the far end of their house (and between their own stuff) with a bathroom in the other side of the property. But if you look for a business, they are disorganized, and barley keep track of things while getting distracted by other personal endeavors, and somtimes they do contradict themselves (yes, you have to confirm your reservation!).

A perfect stop on the Via Transilvanica trail! This guesthouse in Casva is a great place to rest, even for a few days, if you're hiking the Via Transilvanica. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious – homemade, fresh, and full of flavor. The surroundings are peaceful, and the atmosphere is authentic and relaxing. Highly recommended! ❤️
