Hostal Residencia Anduriña

During my visit to Vilalba, I asked where I could buy the town's traditional roscón (a ring-shaped cake), and I was told that they had been making it by hand for a long time. The owners, who were very kind, served me, and it was definitely worth it. I bought a roscón fresh from the oven, and we enjoyed it immensely for the three days it lasted; it didn't lose its texture or flavor at all.

They are Manu Chao's aunts. They show you the photos they have with Manu, and they also ask you to sing Mexican songs and they know some of them. It's a pleasure to be there with such venerable people.

It is unacceptable that the best businesses in town, which occupy the best locations for anyone wanting to innovate and make a business successful, are run by people who retired decades ago. In addition to the neglect of the premises, there is a lack of hygiene and a minimum standard that should be required, which this and some others do not meet, no matter how much they try.
