Erromesen Aterpetxea Santa Ana

Was here in June 2022. This was my first albergue and it became the benchmark for all the other albergues that I would sleep on later. I loved the place. I left a little Ikurrina flag to the hospitalero as my appreciation.

We had a nice experience in the Albergue. It's simple, but it's an albergue, c'mon... The hospitalero was friendly, the place was clean, opened perfectly in time and the next morning at 6h the door was also opened for us to get the crossing boat. Despite the other reviews, no one demanded a donation or checked how much we'd given. You can buy some beverages there and down the stairs you have many options for eating. It is up the hill, so be prepared for some stairs more to reach the place, also be there before 16h. We arrived at 15:10 and there was already a line. The Albergue is small and had only 14 spots. When we're there, everything ran smoothly, calm, and although no blanket was offered, the temperature inside was comfortable.

Nice building, nice people, nice shower. I really missed the possibility to cook water for a cup of tea.
