Mixed experience here. This place is quite old. The plumbing needs a remodel. But it's also cozy in places, well broken in - in a good way and the host Britt was terrific. What the place lacked, she more than made up for with advice and pleasant conversation. Laundry service is available for 15 Euro. The laundry detergent has a strong perfume scent to it which is agonizing. Within walking distance to the bus stop in my opinion. They has a cozy fire going when I arrived. It would have been good to have more kindling, wood etc to keep it going. I couldn't find compressed brick, wood etc so the fire didn't last too long at all. The bunks need privacy curtains asap.

Grand little hostel, and would stay again. Showers were cold but lady before me said they were lovely & hot as I got soaked out on a boat, so get in early. Bit of heat would've been nice. Beds were grand I slept fine I suppose depends who you get in your room weather they are respectful or not. Stayed in the mixed dorm for €50 per night. Couldn't be better location, but parking is dodgy I got lucky with a spot in the lane so it worked out for me. Free towels were in the press! Hairdryer and free toiletries in a box which is lovely. I didn't know there was free breakfast, as I heard the host tell someone there was none? Maybe I'm wrong reading the comments. The hares corner have a lovely breakfast anyway 😄 would be back and it was clean and the staff were lovely and friendly & helpful.

The Grapevine looks like it peaked some time ago, and has been coasting ever since. For the price of a private room for three, you’d expect at least a towel or two included (if not three). Instead, towels come with a fee, and the showers, no matter what you pay, run stubbornly cold. Credit where it’s due though, the location is convenient (although this is Dingle and not Dublin). Breakfast was laid out by 7:45am, but possibly not the wisest aspect of their service offerings to under promise, over deliver on. We checked out the next morning feeling a little unwashed, a little wiser, and very curious for better-value stays in Dingle.
