Hotel Sonnenhang

Me and my fiancé spent a night there on our trip to Italy. Overall my experience from this hotel was great. We made sure to go there a bit around 17:00 so there was still some daylight in which we could take a small walk around the village. The views were amazing. After that we had dinner in the restaurant. The food was pretty good, filling and not too expensive. Only thing is that Service here has 4 stars as the menu was only in German, but the hosts were welcoming and very friendly. In the morning we had breakfast which was good, but nothing too special, it is the regular hotel breakfast you would get in most hotels. Overall, my experience in this hotel was pretty good and I would highly recommend it. However if you’re looking for luxury this is obviously not the place for you. Everything is very nice, but not luxurious.

I unfortunately didn’t get any photos but had to leave a review because it was the best sleep I ever had in a hotel anywhere. The room was in an older charming style, very unassuming and not fancy. But clean and quiet with an incredibly comfortable bed. I slept so well, that I didn’t want to leave the next morning. I hope this hotel doesn’t close down. It’s a hidden gem and I recommend anyone to stay there. Minus one star because I didn’t really like the carpet - but the hotel operators should not be punished for that - they are simply renting the space and the buildings owner refuses to update.

The hotel is located in the higher part of the hill offering a super nice view. The room looks old but clean. The staff is nice and friendly. The restaurant is very good. Food is well cooked and tasty. The breakfast room offers a very nice view from the two windows. The location is quite. The only thing that I didn’t like is the mattress.
