Hotel Restaurant Villa Salvador

Unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. It was our honey money so we thought we would treat ourselves to a beautiful experience in Cadaques but cannot recommend it further.. Let's start with the positives: - beautiful location, Cadaques is so magical I would come again to this town every time - nicely decorated hotel. Outstanding outside area. What didn't help: - small details I would expect paying 400€ a night: reception desk gets our IDs to check in and addresses us in French when our ID says otherwise and we are speaking English.. asked to book tickets to a museum: one employee says they have special "hotel tickets" for the guests, when we asked to book the other just said they are full and there is nothing he can do.. next day I see guests next to me getting a ticket . We paid for free bicycles, got there there were no bicycles anymore.. we wrote it was our honey money, they just ignored it. Not even a kind "congratulations " at reception..and so many more examples.. - room and bed quite small, only bed and small desk and one chair for a couple superior room - paying extra 100€ a night for sea view to see some blue through some trees in a corner.. - room maintenance average. No fresh towels in 3 days..no toilet paper at the end.. - breakfast: everyday there was no water..we had to help ourselves for cutlery and napkins as there were no tables set (and no, we didn't arrive at 5min before closing), everyday having to ask for the same bread as it was never available All in all an okay experience in a beautiful place but very far from the expectation for the price point.

What a special stay. Pol was absolutely 5stars. We were organizing a birthday trip. Pol was responsive in helping us with ideas to explore in the area and places to eat before we even arrived. The room was ready, e enjoyed a nice lunch and the team at the hotel lit the fireplace. The hotel also has a small car you can rent to cruise around the area which is very fun. I then left something at the hotel and Pol was very supportive in making sure it was packaged and returned before I left for Lisbon. 10/10. Amazing place and love visiting Cadaqués. Will return soon!! Thank you Pol for such a special experience.

Stayed June 2024. Nice location (short walk to the town center) and the design aesthetic is pleasant. It is a very quiet spot. There are some functional design elements that made it less than perfect- we had to traipse back and forth through the small restaurant to get from room to the pool, there was no functional bar or pool service, the view from pool was onto construction next door, landscape was beautiful but lavender bushes directly next to loungers attracted bees (which is wonderful but not relaxing for sitting by the pool). The service was ok- it seemed English was not their preferred language.
