Kitzbuhel Alpen Pension | Accomodation in Hollersbach im Pinzgau, Salzburg

This hotel refused to honor our reservation over the new year holiday, despite the fact that the reservation was confirmed via Booking.com and they had messaged us the day before asking for our arrival time and providing check-In details. Evidently, there was a technical error on their end and they didn’t actually receive the reservation deposit sent via direct bank transfer as they requested. Instead of contacting us to address the issue, they apparently cancelled our reservation without informing us or sending a cancellation notice via Booking.com. To make matters worse, the female employee of the hotel was very rude, indignant, and unwilling to acknowledge any responsibility for the fact that we now had nowhere to stay at 7:30pm in the middle of the Austrian alps the day before NYE. Her male colleague did contact a few people to see if there were any rooms available nearby. Unfortunately, there were not and we were forced to drive 1.5 hours to alternative accommodation in a different town.

We spent here one night while driving through the mountains. Lovely place with lovely staff and very good breakfast. Staff seemed like they had fun working with eachother which also made us feel happy and cozy. Room was nice and had a warm vibe. View from the balcony was beautiful and the surrounding town was almost too cute to be true. We almost regret leaving. We would recommend Kitzbuhel Alpen Pension 100 %! Danke schön :)

This pension is a hidden gem: rooms are really comfortable, fully renovated, very clean. Food is probably the best we have tasted in a hotel/guest house ever (they even bake their own bread). Staff is professional yet warm and welcoming. No more than 10 minutes drive to ski lifts.
