I’m a travel consultant, by profession, and booked this hotel as a part of a pre-packaged vacation for our family of 3. It’s our first visit to Lisbon and our priority is convenience to public transportation. There are several nice restaurants and a large mall (with grocery store) adjacent, too. Our room is perfectly comfortable, with a nice view, and we received the bathtub we requested. The staff have all been kind and accommodating but Ruben, in particular, made our first impression wonderful. I’d recommend this property and look forward to several more nights here.

I stayed here for 5 nights on business. The hotel is nicely located for the exhibition and conference centre, next to the main railway station and a short cab ride to the main tourist areas. The hotel is a little dated in parts, but not too much. I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. I had a very comfortable room with a bath. I was next to the left but you would never know. The only noise I did have was from the trains and the station which didn’t really bother me, it wasn’t too bad. The rooms are spacious and well appointed despite its age. Sometimes well established hotel names with dated interiors are the best because the room has everything you need, whereas today a new build would be looking to cut corners. The room service was excellent, very quick and good quality. All of the staff were very pleasant. I can’t really say anything negative about this hotel apart from some parts looking a little dated. Breakfast was very good offering a good selection of hot and cold food. The hotel and the room were very clean and I would not hesitate staying here again or recommending it.

Our stay at Meliá Lisboa Oriente was absolutely wonderful, and the location alone makes this hotel a standout. It’s perfectly situated near a variety of restaurants, and the hotel’s own on-site restaurant serving tapas is a great option when you want something convenient yet delicious. The buffet breakfast was a delight, with an impressive variety and excellent selection to start the day. Breakfast begins at 7:00 AM, though it would be even better if it opened a bit earlier for guests catching very early flights or tours. Still, the quality and options more than made up for it. The convenience of this location is hard to beat. It’s directly across from Manteigaria, the famous pastel de nata bakery (a must-visit!), and only about a 5-minute walk to the bus station, making it incredibly easy to catch a FlixBus or explore beyond Lisbon. We also loved the room—it was a comfortable, decent size, clean, and well laid out. The hotel can provide a third bed, which is perfect if you’re traveling with a teen or child. Overall, everything from the comfort to the location exceeded our expectations. We truly loved our stay and would absolutely choose Meliá Lisboa Oriente again. Highly recommended!
