Ship Inn, Mousehole

We live in Cornwall and just needed a little get away to blow the cobwebs away. We ended up down in Mousehole at the Ship Inn and we were not disappointed. We had the fish and chips and a bitter shandy. The fish was so fresh and crispy batter, the chips were so fat and fluffy... gorgeous. My nephew had chicken goujons and loved them. All in all an amazing meal and lovely friendly staff. Really made our day x

I stayed in advance of a Christmas trip elsewhere in West Cornwall and I was delighted with The Ship. It is very cosy and the food served was top notch. My room and breakfast were also of a high standard and the visit overall was a pleasure. The famous “Mousehole Lights” turn on this weekend aswell so you really should head down to see them. The best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my whole life - no joke!! Absolute perfection, the beer batter was so crispy, chunky chips were crispy but fluffy inside. Curry sauce coming as standard? Hell yeah. Mushy peas that weren’t too mushy - yum. And tartare sauce. Lovely staff, very attentive and the cosiest environment! Wow. 100% recommend.
