Saffron House Bed and Breakfast

Lovely & warm after a full day walking, in miserable weather. We got caught out by temporary bus diversions and missed our opportunity to collect the car. David very kindly offered to drive us back to Lynmouth. Unfortunately we had already committed to a taxis. But we were very appreciative of the offer and our stay was definitely worth it. Excellent breakfast 👏 We are previous owner of a B&B and this one is definitely value for money. Enjoy your winter break David & Diane.

Good traditional b&b with welcoming hosts and walking distance to the beach and amenities in Coombe Martin. Parking outside is very handy (on 2 levels after a steep driveway). Deserves the “excellent breakfast” classification from the booking site, with delicately hand cooked full English among the options. We didn’t use the bar or shared seating rooms but they provide a good place to unwind and pizza, sandwiches/lunchboxes were on offer on request. Accommodation was comfortable and room 9 has a sea view over the rooftops with a nice place to sit by the window and enjoy a cuppa while looking out. Staying here formed a very pleasant part of a lovely flying visit to the area, My sons comments: “Climbing on the rocks was fun The breakfast was amazing The hosts were lovely and even gave me extra bacon The beds were comfy and considering the shower had a shower curtain the splashes were minimal”

Lovely room, very clean. Great choice of breakfast from Full English to Continental, Cereals, Fruit etc. Friendly and welcoming host. Only drawback very awkward car park and if Hotel is full, sometimes difficult to park. Lovely location, short walk from Combe Martin beach. Overall good B & B and would recommend.
