Brompton on swale bunk barn

Perfect place for a bunkhouse to explore North Yorkshire. Clean and plenty of space for a group of up to 12, with comfy bunkbeds. Very kind and helpful owners. Walking distance to pub and shop is also helpful. A good social area which was nice to sit down and enjoy evenings in. Should be noted that you will need 10p coins and £1 coins to operate the shower and electric meters respectively!

Popped in for a night's stay during coast to coast in May 2025 with my mate & his (small patterdale dog). Great place and service provided by the owner, welcomed with a cuppa tea - cheap and cheerful and a little quirky - excellent 👍

A most extremely good value place to stay. The owners are friendly and the place has a homely atmosphere. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is clean, kitchen has lots of facilities. After a hard day kayaking on the river in winter, the feeling of hanging one's wet kit up to dry, making tea and sitting on the sofa in a warm room, is priceless. And all for £12 (the last time I stayed there). I can't recommend Brompton bunk barn highly enough.
