Camping Radovljica

When looking at the website I didn't know what to expect, it almost looked like there was a swimming center and they added a camping as an afterthought. There weren't a lot of photos to get a good indication of the campsite. But after arriving we were pleasantly surprised, it was a proper, small to medium sized, campsite. Upon arriving an employee walked us to our spot explaining the rules on the go. As camping guest you have free access to the swimming pools, which are open till 18:00 or 19:00 (weekdays or weekends). The toilets and showers are clean and good. Plenty of warm water. Small downside: only 4 showers and 4 toilets for the entire camping. We were here with 7 adults and 3 children and we basically got a private field at the back of the camping, so we had plenty of space. During our holiday it rained quite a lot, but the ground could handle it fine, no mud puddles formed. We also got a good deal with less than €20,- per night for adults.

We stayed here during our cycling trip. The staff were very friendly. The campsite is nice and big for a small tent. The showers are nice. It is a bit basic compared to other campsites in the area, however if you are on a budget and don't need all the frills of a touristy campsite, this is the place.

Disappointing, the bar and bistro shut on Friday at 3:00pm. The pool was closed Saturday for a swimming gala which seemed to start at 6:00am Saturday morning. The facilities are finished and immaculate but for €52 too expensive when two of the main facilities aren’t available. Prices should be adjusted when this is the case and also put on the website. Radovljica is a lovely place and worth going.
